Democratic Republic of Congo
- As a result of continued conflict and displacement, one in five children die before their 5th birthday in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
- 38% of children are chronically malnourished and stunted.
- 13% of children suffer from severe or acute malnutrition.
We partner in the DRC with HEAL Africa hospital's children AIDS program.
Liberia
- A fifteen year civil war destroyed the health system and agricultural system in Liberia.
- 39% of children under the age of five are chronically malnourished. Most from prolonged periods of inadequate food and repeated infections.
- The level of malnutrition significantly increases during the rainy season (May to October)
- 8% of children suffer from severe acute malnutrition.
- Less than 30% of children below six months are exclusiveness.

Nigeria
- Because of inadequate, or non-existent, essential, health services, the level of malnutrition in Nigeria is comparable to war-torn countries.
- 29% of children are underweight and moderate and severe malnutrition.
- 38% of children are suffering from moderate and severe stunting.
- 9% of children are suffering from sever acute malnutrition.
